Serikon is a new ensemble, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, aimed to renew the historical. It is composed of singers and instrumentalists playing on period instruments, and the CD contains “standards” from the Renaissance, by famous composers such as Orlando di Lasso, Cipriano de Rore, and Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. The last track on the CD contains a contemporary piece for solo trombone.
