The young Romanian pianist Bianca Calinescu’s (b. 1985) debut recital disc includes Beethoven’s Op. 109, Liszt’s “Dante Sonata” and a homage to Austria with Eduard Schütt’s paraphrase on Johann Strauss’ “Dorfschwalben aus Österreich” waltz. +Ms. Calinescu has played many concerts as a soloist, chamber musician and Lieder accompanist at several renowned European venues. +Since 2013, she has been a collaborative pianist at the IES in Vienna, where she is in charge of the Music Performance Classes.
