In all three of these sonatas by composer Karl Wolfrum a heterogeneous approach is taken. Technically, the works follow Bach, dramatically, the narrative concepts of the New German School and in terms of sound and aesthetics, a subtle use of the instrument’s solo voices and dynamic differentiation. Oehms Classics now presents a 2011 recording with Norwegian organist Halgeir Schiager.
